420 ESR is a high-quality electroslag remelted version of 420 stainless steel. 420 ESR is designed for plastic molds requiring good corrosion resistance, excellent wear resistance and a high degree of polishibility. High internal cleanliness and homogeneity are provided by the ESR process. This grade is well suited for molding of medical, electronic and food processing in moderately corrosive environments.
