This Gold Class Limited Edition Benchmade knife features an M390 stainless steel blade, carbon fiber/abalone scales and Nak-Lok.
The talented craftsmen at Benchmade bring together some of the finest materials available in this limited edition Gold Class gentleman's knife. This fantastic knife is limited to just 150 pieces, which is sure to make it one of the most valuable collectible knives. The Oregon City craftsmen start with anodized titanium for the liners and finishes the handle with carbon fiber for additional strength. The carbon fiber handles are then fitted with abalone onlays to provide the spectacular color.
The 2.89" long blade is crafted from M390 stainless steel. M390 stainless steel is a first-class quality grade of stainless steel. M390 is produced using the PM manufacturing process which provides better toughness than conventionally produced grades. The PM process also allows more alloy content to be dissolved into the steel matrix. This additional alloy content imparts the M390 with very good wear resistance, edge retention and excellent corrosion resistance. M390 is sure to provide you with many years of worthy service.
The blade is ground, polished and coated with a DLC coating to provide additional wear resistance. This finely crafted blade is brought together with the liners and scales and securely held in place using 24K gold plated fasteners.
The Nak-Lok locking mechanism firmly locks the blade in place using the force of tensile strength, as compared to most traditional methods that use compressive strength as a locking mechanism. The Nak-Lok ensures that the user's fingers never cross the path of the blade while opening the knife.
