M-2 Tool Bits

M-2 Tool bits are prehardened and ground square and rectangular tool bits that are ready for your general purpose roughing and finishing operations. Use M-2 tool bits for your tough machining operations. M-2 works very well on interrupted cuts because it is the most shock-resistant of the high-speed steel grades. M-2 possesses relatively good heat and abrasion resistance making it a good choice for most ferrous and non-ferrous alloys.

These M-2 Tool bits are heat treated to RC 64-66 to provide maximum cutting ability. The bits are precision ground on all four sides for accuracy of size, shape and surface finish. They are held to a close tolerance of +/-.002" on the thickness and width. They are etched for easy grade identification and coated with rust preventative.
Square tool bits have a 10 degree angle on each end.
Rectangular tool bits have square ends.
